Blue Ridge Beef is recalling one of its frozen products due to potential contamination with Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected products are sold in 2 lb chubs and can be identified with the following manufacturing codes

The potentially affected lots were distributed to retail pet food stores in following States:
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • North Carolina

Symptoms due to consumption may include: It can grow and reproduce inside the host’s cells and is one of the most virulent food-borne pathogens, with 20 to 30 percent of clinical infections resulting in death. short-term symptoms

  • high fever
  • severe headache
  • stiffness
  • nausea
  • abdominal pain and diarrhea
