Menhaden fish meal is a fish meal that provides protein and Omega-3 fatty acids. Menhaden refers to a specific fish that is relatively small. Just like all meats, the protein from fish is a well balanced amino acid profile for dogs.
Brown rice is good source of fiber and contains more nutrients than white rice. It does contain a high amount of carbohydrates.
Rice flour is made from removal of the husk of rice, and then the raw rice is grounded down to a flour. The final product itself is high in carbohydrates.
Rice bran is the outer layer of whole grain brown rice; it surrounds the endosperm. This part of the rice is rich in dietary fiber and contains other carbohydrates too.
Chicken fat is a good for dogs in the right amount, since dogs can effectively metabolize fat and use it for various body system functions, including for energy.
